About Violet Beam Games

Hey there! I’m Gael, the solo developer behind Violet Beam Games. Since 2017, I’ve been on an incredible self-taught journey in game development, driven by my passion for crafting immersive, story-driven experiences. From coding and 3D art to game design, I love exploring every facet of game creation, and I’m constantly learning and growing in this field.

I’m currently developing Silent Corruption, a survival horror game inspired by classic survival horror titles, The Long Dark, and Stranger Things. Balancing gameplay design and atmospheric storytelling, Silent Corruption is a project close to my heart, and I’m excited to bring this haunting world to life.

Previously, I had the opportunity to work as a Unity programmer for Squid Shock Studio on Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus, which was my first professional experience in the industry. This role allowed me to sharpen my programming skills and contribute to a fantastic indie project.

I’m also deeply committed to fostering an inclusive and welcoming community, especially for neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ folks. As an autistic developer, I understand the value of spaces where people can feel comfortable, understood, and celebrated.

At Violet Beam Games, my goal is to create unique, emotionally engaging adventures that resonate with players on a deeper level. Additionally, I run a sub-blog called “Gael’s Corner”, where I share my thoughts and insights about the game dev journey—everything from the challenges I face to the lessons I learn along the way.

Thank you for stopping by, and I can’t wait to share more of my journey and games with you!
